This concise, two-hour course explains in simple terms:
- some basic approaches to T & L which work across any Humanities topics
- discusses the crucial relationship between planning and assessment
- explains ways in which teachers can measure and evaluate how 'effective' their teaching is
- To reinforce these points, two case studies are discussed which demonstrate
- how valuable quality Humanities topics can be ion developing a truly skills-rich curriculum
- how teachers can audit their own planning to ensure all potential Curriculum 2022 requirements are being met. (T & L resource packs are included with the course materials).
Course Presenter: Don Trueman
HISTORY and GEOGRAPHY - Don Trueman supports primary school planning for skills development in History. In more recent years he’s offered support for Geography at primary level and also runs his own consultancy, offering training, teaching sessions and planning / teaching / learning resources. Don Trueman was previously an LEA adviser.
